Saving and Loading Window Layouts

With Toon Boom Studio, you can select windows you want to open based on the tasks you are performing, position them to suit your working style and save them so that you can reload them later.

For example, you can create a layout for when you are drawing, that includes the Drawing View and Exposure Sheet, and another for when you are animating that includes the Camera View, Side View, Timeline and Function Editor. Then switch between the two layouts depending on the tasks you are preforming.

To create a window layout:

1. Open the windows you want to display and position them to support your workflow.

You can select the windows from the Window menu. You can also open the Drawing, Camera, Top or Side Views in the same windows.

2. Open toolbars you want to use.

3. To save your layout, select Window > Save Layout and select one of the three user layouts.

4. A dialog box opens that you can use to change the name of the layout you are creating. Choose a name that helps you identify this layout from the other layouts you can make and click OK.

5. To open and reposition windows and toolbars based on a layout, select a layout from the Window > Load Layout menu.
